Pilgrimage in Palitana
In the small town of Palitana in Gujarat State, India, lies the Shatrunjaya Temple, at an altitude of about 600m up in the mountains. This is my account of the pilgrimage, what the climb has meant for me and how I’ve made it personal to me. 2025 has been a year where the universe has really looked after me and my family so to end the year with this pilgrimage marks a significant point in my personal journey. Palitana is a place that is untouched by mass international tourism.

Practicing Yoga in India
In December, I had a few days in India. It was a whirlwind 4-day trip that has centred around a pilgrimage to a mountain top temple as part of my continued dedication to my late Dad (you can read about the pilgrimage in the Blog). Whilst there, I really wanted to practice yoga in its homeland. I asked my cousin who asked someone who asked someone and so it goes on, until eventually I hit the jackpot as they found a way for me to join classes at the Ayurvedic University. Yes!!

Fundraise Total
My fundraise has come to an end and I’m really honoured to announce that together we have raised £1287. During the month of October, I gathered all of my class contributions to pass over to my chosen charity Better Burma. This was in recognition to everything that yoga has done for me, has given me; as I marked the one year milestone of officially becoming a yoga teacher. Thanks to everybody who joined my classes in London (Stanmore & Wexham), my online class where students h

October teaching in Crete
Just back from a week of teaching in Crete. Each time I teach there, it just gets better and better. This time there were a variety of styles covering Slow Flow, Yin & Yang, Meditation and Dynamic. The breadth of offering has been great for me to expand my teaching capacity as I tune my sequences to different levels whilst also learning to adjust vocal queueing and speed. For me, breath is the key element to any asana practice whether Slow or Dynamic. Tuning the breath and us

Why I'm supporting Burma this month
This month I’m fundraising for Burma. In this video, I’m reading an extract from my journal which I wrote on Saturday 19th August 2006, when I was in Burma. The extract that the rest of the video explains why I’m fundraising for Burma. The fundraise is coming from all my yoga classes in October. Class contributions from all my classes will all be gathered and donated to my chosen charity Better Burma . There are a lot of crises around the world at the moment but Burma doesn’t

1 Year Yogaversary
Since graduating as a yoga teacher with the Chi Kri school of yoga, this last year of developing my yoga teaching has been so eventful & rewarding. Here’s a recap… One of the first things I did was set up my online class which I run monthly. I made a conscious decision to run this as a free class out of service to yoga for all it has given me. If you’ve read my “Who Am I” post you’ll know that yoga pulled me out of a hole & helped me heal. Moreover, it helped me to deal with
