Teaching at Harefield Hospital

Last Friday I taught a class at Harefield Hospital. This might end up being the most important class I ever deliver in my life.
WHY?
My dad was admitted to Harefield Hospital in June 2019 and a few weeks later we said our final goodbye to him at this hospital.
HOW DID I END UP TEACHING AT HAREFIELD HOSPITAL?

11th July 2025, I was walking to my local yoga studio Hotpod Yoga Ruislip.
There were a hundred reasons why I couldn’t go to yoga on this day but a voice inside me said that I really need to go.
Tim was walking towards the studio from the other direction. Tim and I qualified as yoga teachers around the same time so when we bump into one another at our local studio, our conversation naturally revolves around yoga teaching! On this day, I learned that he works at Harefield Hospital and teaches there each week.
That day we were practicing under the guidance of Gem.
The class started and as I immersed myself into Gem’s immersive routine, a voice spoke to me, telling me that after class I should tell Tim about what happened with my Dad at Harefield Hospital and ask if I can teach a class there to give my gratitude to the staff at the hospital.
That’s what happened on 11th July.
The next day - 12th July - was my dad’s anniversary.
I later found out from Tim that just like me, there were also a hundred reasons for him for why he couldn’t go to yoga that day but a voice inside him told him he needed to go.
I want to thank the universe for aligning this auspicious meeting so that we could lay the foundations for this beautiful class, where we shared our positive energy in the grounds of this wonderful institution.
